Quote of the day 12/9

There's one advantage to being 102. There's no peer pressure. :)

Is it a red lollipop?

Is it a red lollipop? No one can know for certain until we open it... but we can't. Not yet. The mystery is only solved in death. Either the lollipop is red, or there must not be a lollipop. Which is better. Which do you believe?

Quote of the day 11/19

One should rather die than be betrayed. There is no deceit in death. It delivers precisely what it has promised. Betrayal, though ... betrayal is the willful slaughter of hope.

Quote of the day 11/11/11

For many years the numbers 11:11 have been mysteriously appearing to people all over the world. Often appearing on digital clocks, the sightings of 11:11 tend to occur during times of heightened awareness, having a most powerful effect on the people involved. This causes a reactivation of our cellular memory banks. Theres a stirring deep inside, a hint of remembrance of something long forgotten. The appearance of 11:11 is also a powerful confirmation that we are on the right track, aligned with our highest Truth.

The endless reoccurrence of these hours 11:11, 11:01, 11:10, 10:01, 10:11, 10:10, 1:01, 1:11 represents a positive connection and a gateway to the mysteries of the universe and beyond.

"Quote" ye or nay?

My "quotes of the day" aren't all quotes. So why on earth do I call them that?! I think that I may want to start calling them sayings or sentences, or even pictures of the day. Most of them have pictures. In fact almost all of them do. I suppose it doesn't really matter what I call them. No one really cares. But I think it should matter. To me at least.

It's almost halloween!

It is almost Halloween......thats all I have to say....

Halloween used to be fun. I don't really enjoy walking up to a house, saying "trick or treat" and getting a tootsie roll. I honestly don't see the appeal. Not anymore. No more costumes for me. I'm done pretending to be some fictional disney character. It's all just an excuse for parents to get their kids to dress up cute and get the candy supply for the year. I somewhat enjoy the part where you get to scare people out of their minds and then say "Happy Halloween!" and if they don't laugh or say it back, you can say they need some halloween spirit and then laugh at your own pun.
After you've had to endure years of retarded Halloween-ness it gets annoying and old. You just want to leave a bowl outside your house and a sign that says take one. Placing some sort of device in the bowl so that when they try to grab some candy it will shock them. And of coarse placing a camera so that you can watch all the funny reactions people have the next day. Or hook it up to your tv and watch it from the comforts of your own room.

Did Steve Jobs die?

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Steve Jobs 1955-2011go to apple.com and you will find this:

Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful... that’s what matters to me.

Warm snow

I want to live to see the day when warm snow is invented. People have invented things that were thought impossible before they made them, so don't call me crazy. The day when warm snow is invented I will laugh at those of you who called me crazy.

Quote of the day

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold.
-Helen Keller

Mondays

I hate mondays. Doesn't everybody. The first day of the week. The day when you have to go to work or school, knowing that there are four more days after that day until your next two days off. So you would think that most suicides would occur on mondays.... nope. Most suicides occur on wednesdays. 25% of suicides occur on wednesdays. And only 14% on mondays. People don't make sense. Do they plan this, or is wednesday just a really depressing day? I hate people, they're weird...
